The new EU Program, Erasmus + 2014-2020, includes all the initiatives of Education, Training, Youth and Sport. Once more and with added conviction the European Union has decided to invest in youth and, over the next seven years, will provide more than 4 million Europeans many opportunities abroad for study, training, acquisition of job skills and voluntary work experiences.
Erasmus+ gathers all the existing initiatives for European mobility in the Lifelong Learning Programme (Comenius, Erasmus, Erasmus Mundus, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig), the international programs of higher education (Mundus, Tempus, Alfa, Edulink) and the bilateral ones, as well as the Youth in Action Program.
This new agenda focuses on strategic alliances and formal and informal education beyond EU borders, with a clear vocation to internationalization by opening up to third countries, with the aim of improving individuals’ education and training competencies for a better employability of students, teachers and workers.
This approach is guided through the following actions:
- KA1 Key Action 1 – Individual Mobility for learning purposes
- KA 2 Action Key 2 – Cooperation for Innovation and Good Practices
- Action KA3 Key 3 – Support to Policy Reform
- Jean Monnet activities
- Sport
