This KA1 Youth M.A.D.R.I.D, carried out in Madrid, Spain and financed by the National Agency of the Erasmus + Program, brought together 36 young people from 6 different countries: Spain, Italy, Romania, Macedonia, Portugal, Hungary and Slovakia with ages between 18 and 28 years.
“M(edio ambiente), A (ire libre) D(eporte) R(elajación) I(maginación) D(ifusión),juventud europea en movimiento” is a project organized by MAD for Europe. In this activity, we developed a lot of activities completely creative, where Sport and Healthy lifestyle were the main topics. All the participants learned how to break social barriers with other countries, understanding their language and socializing.
Most of the activities were outdoors, in open spaces like the Parque del Retiro, Casa de Campo or the city centre. During these activities, participants not only worked in groups, but they also had to involve the local citizens.

TARGET GROUP: Young people between 28 and 28 years old.
Activities:
The introduction of the participants, their organization and local communities, they are working in. Every person in the group presented themselves using the “personal shield”.
“A CLICK OF HEALTHY LIFE”
Participants were divided into groups of two persons. The objective for each one was to take some nice and particular photos related to Sports and Healthy Food around Madrid, to present the best ones to the other participants in a photo context exhibition.
“MEET AND KNOW OUR ENVIRONMENT BY TRAINING”
All participants visited the Parque del Retiro, where surrounding the park there was a great sports circuit. Divided into groups and observing the landscape and breathing fresh air, participants trained around this circuit through exercises and a little running. After we sat in the park and discussed each participant experience in the sport.
“YOGA AS A SPORT AND AS A RELAXATION”
The participants benefited from a basic yoga session. In addition to this, they knew how to play this relaxing sport daily, why it is so beneficial to our health, and they performed simple stretches and techniques that they learned and practice by themselves.
“HOW DO I FEEL TODAY?”

“CITY, RIVER AND HEALTHY LIFE”
Through this activity, participants knew the wonderful area “Madrid Rio”, where people practice sports and do exercises. Besides jogging and sports, they knew why this park that integrates the river to people and the city. During this activity of sports and leisure, participants understood the importance of water for life and their savings and conservation.
“MEET OUR MEDITERRANEAN DIET”
“BE YOUR OWN NUTRITIONIST”
Participants involved in an informative session with an expert in healthy food and learned how to use the necessary nutrients according to their benefits, to differentiated between proteins, carbohydrates, and vitamins. After this, they were divided into groups and had to produce a daily sample menu. In the end, they discussed and together with the evaluated results.
“BRAINSTORMING FOR THE WEBSITE IDEAS”
Start working on the creation of the website and project LOGO and creation of project brochure.
“TAICHÍ, A TOOL TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH”
In this activity, participants knew the bases and the benefits of a TaiChi technique considered one of the most beneficial for health and mind. Participants practised some of these exercises and learned how to do it on their own.
“YOUTH MARATHON”
Each participant had a number and ran in pairs, in this way they had to reach both the goal to be counted as completed, regardless you get one before another. This marathon taught them how teamwork in sport is, and the three winning teams got medals.
“SPORTS AND HEALTH, A PERFECT COMBINATION”
Participants presented the activities made during the interchange and gave some explanations of what they had learned and improved.
